Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

As a highly recommended Northern Colorado (NoCo) painter of interior, exterior residential and commercial properties, we earn each our Google reviews. Below is a short list of questions you may have about your project.

Do you offer a warranty?

Of course! Whereas most companies offer up to a 2-year warranty, at Painting NoCo we offer a 5-year warranty.

Are you insured?

Yes! We are properly insured and we require any subcontractors to carry adequate insurance as well.

interior projects.

What are the different paint sheens?

Sheen refers to the light reflectivity of the painted or varnished surface. There are varying degrees of sheen, from no sheen to high gloss. Though some paint manufacturers may refer to their paint sheens by different names, generaly, from lowest to highest, paint sheens correspond to these reflective degrees:

  • Flat finish
  • Eggshell finish
  • Satin finish
  • Semi gloss finish
  • High gloss finish

We typically recommend “The higher the traffic, the higher the sheen”. We usually recommend a satin for exteriors and for most interior projects.

What hours do your crews work?

We like to start early (6:30-7) on most projects and tend to work until 5-5:30. When you’re on a roll (pun intended) it can be more efficient to keep going than to interrupt the project with cleanup and additional setup time. If our hours are a concern, we can adjust them to fit your lifestyle.

Can I get a remote estimate?

Yes! We do remote estimates. Consider filling out our contact form so we can understand the scope of your project and select your preferred contact method. We can give you a ballpark or budgetary quote using this information. If acceptable, we will schedule a time to do a formal project review and deliver you a firm proposal.

Do you charge for estimates?

We never charge a fee to provide an estimate for your painting project.

Can I leave my home while your painting crew is at work?

Yes. Most people we work for are not home while the work is going on. While you are at work or running errands, our crew will be busy painting. We may ask for a garage door code or key to access your home and secure it when we’re done for the day.

Do you patch walls and repair drywall damage?

Yes! We do minor (quarter size or smaller) wall repairs and as well as holes left behind from thumb tacks, nails, screws, and other hardware. We work with many landlords that hire us to come in between tenants to patch and repaint walls.

Why should I hire a painter instead of painting it myself?

We invest thousands of dollars into quality equipment and tools to ensure we can provide great results at efficient speeds. Why spend your evenings and weekends working on a project that would only take us hours to complete?
